The CFDLab@energy is placed in the Building25 at Lambruschini site.

The Lab founders' vision of the academic mission range from Education to Research and Technology Transfer, where they  try to disseminate and promote the use of Computational Fluid Dynamic as an instrument able to support engineering evaluations, analyses, designs, optimisations and verifications for energy processes, devices or plants.
In this view CFDLab@energy:

- promotes Master Theses and PH.D thesis on CFD, often realised in close cooperation with national or international industries and laboratories in the energy field.

- calls young professionals to joint the CFDlab team in order increase the potential of the group while offering interesting and challenging experience of applied research.

- increase the relations with world wide partners to increase potential opportunities and to grant a stimulating environment for keeping a constant and valuable growth of the team within the years.

- provides educational opportunities to international researchers to improve their knowledge and their competence in the field of applied CFD

The computational capacity of the CFDLab@energy is a currently composed of:

- heterogeneous cluster based on Xeon E5670 processors with Gigabit interconnection

- homogeneous cluster based on 12 processors ( Xeon X5670 ) with Infiniband interconnection
