CFDLab@Energy - Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory - STAFF - FABIO INZOLI

Prof. Fabio Inzoli is an Associate Professor andhas achieved both a PhD in Energetic and a Mechanical Engineering MSc at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) in Italy where he is Associate Professor in Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Applied CFD at the Department of Energy. From the beginning his research interest is related to Computational Fluid Dynamics applied to heat and mass transfer with application related to the bioengineering field (hemodynamics, heart-lung machine, artificial heart). His current areas of interest is related to heat transfer in single phase flows component, combustion phenomenon in confined environment, and power plant flue gas cleaning. He is author of more than 90 scientific papers published on international journal or presented in national and international conferences. He started setting up in 2001 a research group on CFD which is currently focused on the development and implementation of Non Linear Eddy Viscosity turbulence models applied to the design of complex and innovative power plant devices. The CFD group counts today an Assistant Professor, three Temporary Researchers, two PhD students and a number of Master’s Thesis students and is running a number of joint project with industrial partner for research and consultancy. He was passed president of Engineers Without Border in Milan and he is currently involved in supervising the projects that the association pursues worldwide. He is also working actively in the field of Cooperation for Development at Politecnico di Milano working together with the Rector’s Delegate to Cooperation for Development.
