CFDLab@Energy - Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory - STAFF - GIORGIO BESAGNI

Giorgio Besagni was born in Milan, 16th April 1988. He obtained the master degree in Energy Engineering (110L/110) at Politecnico di Milano in 2012 disputing a thesis on ejector modeling: "An integrated thermodynamic/CFD approach for ejector modeling".Starting from January 2013 he is a Ph.D Candidate at Politecnico di Milano: "An experimental and numerical investigation of two-phase flow and mass trafer".
His research field concerns (i) CFD/termodynamic ejector modeling and (ii) experimental and numerical investigation of two phase flow in vertical pipe.
Concerning two phase flow he is mainly focused on:
(i) bubble column and counter current two phase flow;
(ii) optical probes for experimental investigation of two phase flow;
(iii) eulerian Eulerian approach for two phase flow simulations in industrial reactors;
(iv) flow regime transition investigation .

From 2013 he is a reviewer for International Journal of Refrigeration,. (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0140700714000140)
