CFDLab@Energy - Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory - STAFF - MATTEO CELADA

Matteo Celada was born in Milan, 14th December 1987. In 2006 he graduated at "Piero Bottoni" high school. He obtained the Master Degree in Energy Engineering (specialization in "production and conversion") in April 2012, defending the thesis "Energy scenario for Sardinia: current situation, energy consumption forecast and possible alternatives for sustainable development". He attended the course "Workshop of Computation Fluid Dynamics" in 2011. Matteo started working with the CFDLab@energy, as temporary researcher, in July 2012, inside the scientific part of the project "Industria 2015" (developed by the Ministry of Economic Development to finance projects of industrial innovation). He has dealt with: - Numerical simulation of household appliances (ovens and hobs) aimed to improve the efficiency and study methodology to recover the thermal energy wasted naturally . - Feasibility study and numerical modeling of a system for waste-heat recovery from kitchen appliances. Inside the research group he has conducted many consulting activities for companies, mainly in (thermo) computational fluid dynamics field: - Numerical simulation of a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG): analysis of post-combustion (verification of burner feeding), design and optimization of additional components (distributing grids and / or flaps ) to improve the efficiency . - Numerical simulation of sterilization cycle of a filling machine: analysis of the species mixing during cycle, geometry optimization of the nozzles. - Development of a lumped parameter code that allows the calculation of the temperature rise inside an electrical cabinet .
